About
Meet the Artist
Dana Barnaby is, what some people have labeled him, a Renaissance Man. He is a creator of many things and a lover of all things creative. A professional Voice-Over Actor, Film and TV Director, Writer, award-winning Cinematographer, Photographer and Musician, (not to mention his love of fermentation, but that's another website entirely).
Graduating with both Broadcast Communications and Film Production technical degrees in the 1990's, Dana has worked
he worked his way up through the industry - learning every aspect of the craft - until he found his voice as a visual storyteller.
Today, Dana is focused on what matters most to him: telling meaningful stories with heart, honesty, and craftsmanship. In a time where quick content and trending formulas dominate the screen, he believes there’s still an audience for well-told stories - ones with strong dialogue, cinematic direction, and emotional depth. Stories where love still matters, and romance isn’t treated as an afterthought.
His work includes projects for CBS, NBC, Disney+, Lifetime, Warner Bros, and Nickelodeon, as well as commercials for brands like BMW, Levi’s, McDonald’s, and Toyota. His short film “Lemonade” won the Audience Choice Award at the Whistler Film Festival, and he’s collaborated on music videos with artists like U2, Sarah McLachlan, Michael Bublé, and Shania Twain.
Through his company, Industrial Velvet Entertainment, Dana continues to develop projects rooted in connection, emotion, and beauty - because he still believes in the power of a great story, and in the art of telling it well.
